| The Process Development Facility for Chinese
Medicine of the Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology Ltd. (HKIB) was also
awarded the Certificate of Manufacturer Facility (Good Manufacturing
Practice) (Certification No. 2445) from the Therapeutic Goods Administration
of Australia on 22 June 2006. This award indicates that HKIB complies with
the manufacturing principles of the Therapeutics Goods Act 1984, which for
the range of products manufactured are complied with the current Australian
Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products.

| The Process Development Facility
for Chinese Medicine of the Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology Ltd. (HKIB)
was awarded the Certificate for Manufacturer (Good manufacturing
practice in respect of proprietary Chinese medicines) (Certification
No. GP 2003-00073) from the Chinese Medicine Division of the Department
of Health, HKSAR Government according to Section 133 of the Chinese Medicine
Ordinance. HKIB was the first proprietary Chinese medicines manufacturer
in Hong Kong audited and certified to fulfil the requirements of good practices
in manufacture and quality control of proprietary Chinese medicines (GMP).
The aim of our plant is to establish a central facility for research, development and manufacturing of safe and high quality Chinese medicinal products in compliance to GMP guidelines and to support the development and upgrade of the Hong Kong Chinese medicine industry.
